Recompute the route "without limits
This version allows in the event of “impossible route calculation” to redo the calculation “without constraints”. This function allows users who have set wave limits, wind limits, TWA limit angle, etc. to easily understand why, in certain cases, Avalon cannot offer them a route.
There is no need to change your preferred routing settings.
Determine your departure time based on a desired arrival time
Version 6.3 allows you to calculate the departure time based on a desired arrival time, to arrive during the day in an anchorage or before the lock closes in certain ports; Ouistreham, St Helier, etc…). The video below explains how this possibility works.
Extension of bathymetric routing maps coverage
Avalon uses bathymetric mapping in route calculations which takes into account the minimum depth with which you wish to navigate with an accuracy of 5 meters.
Until now, this map covered mainland France and the south of England (excluding the English Channel Islands)
This mapping has just been extended to the Caribbean and the United States (Connected USA and Hawaii)
